Stop AT&T’s Complicity with ICE

The Immigrant Justice Team of the UU church in Urbana-Champaign is working with UUANI and others across Illinois to demand AT&T end its contract with ICE.

Between 2003 and August 2024, DHS awarded AT&T contracts worth over $680 million. One major recent contract could soon be extended until 2032—expanding AT&T’s take to $165 million. ICE is using AT&T’s communications systems and equipment to target, detain, and disappear people.

AT&T corporate and ICE are the targets, NOT AT&T workers, whose union has been consulted and is supportive

WHAT TO EXPECT

This action is part of a larger national strategy to slow this regime's consolidation of power before next year's midterm elections become meaningless. It also is the first that will target AT&T to ensure that it cancels its contract with ICE.

Our gathering will be peaceful, and signs will be respectful. We will not trespass, and all actions will be lawful. We need people to sign up here so all have access to common messaging and know which store to visit.
